I want to personally thank you for your interest in becoming a part of history! My name is Jaime L. Washington, founder of 100 Women 100 Stories.

I must admit, I am truly excited about being a vessel for such an amazing movement. I have been blessed to have accomplished many things, I have impacted and influenced many people. However, by far, this is the greatest and speaks to the heart of me. I accept the challenges, obstacles, tests and trials that will come, because I know God is in the midst. He gave me the vision and He is making the provision.

As a little girl, I always loved to write. Writing was a way for me to express my innermost thoughts and feelings. As I grew older, writing became a way for me to ignite, inspire and influence others. In high school, I was a recipient of the National Journalism Award and had aspirations of becoming a Broadcast Journalist, while secretly desiring to one day writing a book that would change the world and to help others to do the same. The only person that I shared my desire with, was my late mother. She was my biggest supporter and cheerleader. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

While my dreams were delayed and deferred, they were never denied. Just when I thought, I had it all figured out, God showed up and showed out! This has been His plan all along. Everything that I have ever done, all the roads I have traveled, led to this destination. And boy, did I take some detours! But, here I am, still standing, and now I stand in and with women who have trials, triumphs and testimonies!

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it…”

Brené Brown

100 Women 100 Stories, is a movement to uplift women through their trials, celebrate their triumphs, empower and equip them to share their testimony, through the art of writing. Every woman has a story and they should write it. However, many women cannot afford to write, publish and promote a book on their own. Nor, do they have a desire to do so. 100 Women 100 Stories, not only provides a cost effective way to share their story, but also allows them to share a platform with other women, who share similar goals, values, stories AND most importantly, creates unity!

Our mission is to uplift women through their trials, celebrate their triumphs, and foster an expressive and creative way to share their testimony, through the art of writing.

As women, we often feel alone. We feel that what ever we are going through, no one could ever understand. We feel that we have to carry the weight on our shoulders. We feel that we don’t have the support and that we are alone. We need an outlet, an expressive way to deal with our pain; a creative way to articulate our feelings.

100 Women 100 Stories, will not only provide a writing platform, but will host prayer calls, conferences, workshops and seminars to teach women how to bring about the spirit of unity among women. 100 Women 100 Stories will also provide mentoring to young teen age girls, ages (12-18).
